This is designed for intermediate / advanced mainly brass and woodwind instrumentalists eager to expand their musicianship, technique and ensemble skills in the small group (up to 15) under the guidance of Tim Garland.


Hazel Grove Orchestra's 100th Anniversary

On 26th November, Hazel Grove Orchestra will perform their 100th Anniversay Concert. This concert consists of music from the Romantic period and will start with the Intermezzo from Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana. The centre-piece will be Elgar's Cello Concerto, with Cellist Adrianne Wininsky and will finish with Schumann's 4th Symphony in D minor.

The newly re-launched Friends Of Hazel Grove High School, which incorporates the School, Norbury Guide Hut Commitee & 3rd Hazel Grove Scout group, are proud to announce that a Christmas Market will be held at the school on Jacksons Lane. The market will take place on Saturday 26th November from 11am - 3pm.
Many stalls from local traders including crafts , jewellery, cards, cupcakes and gifts for Christmas, so come along and start your Christmas shopping early! Lunch will be available too.

The Friends of Torkington Park Duck Race Festival was held on the 26th June 2011 with over 500 residents and children taking part.

The Friends of Torkington are holding a duck race festival in Torkington Park on Sunday 26th June 2011. Races Start at 2 pm, tickets on sale from 1pm ( see Poster). This is a community event involving competitions between local groups, schools, businesses, children and residents.
Trophies will be issued to individual category winners.
Profits will be used for improvements in the park and as a donation to locally based or locally sponsored charities
