For all instrumentalist who want to play some improvisation jazz, Mike walker is going talk about “What we hear, think, feel, when we improvise.... how thinking gets in the way when we are improvising.... how to take on information...... Rhythm..... Harmonic and melodic vocabulary.....”   on Sunday afternoon; 14pm to 18:30 pm includes half an hour break, March 13th 2011 at The Railway “Function Suite”, Stockport. The fee is £50.   We welcome all instruments!

 

This workshop leading to and built around playing some pieces as a group that allow participants to enjoy playing jazz with others, stimulated and inspired by the time they leave the sessions. It is great opportunity to have fun with our brilliant rhythm section guest musicians (to be announced shortly) and highly regarded Jazz guitarist Mike Walker. After the workshop, we provide Sunday Roast (optional £10) so you can exchange musical ideas with others whilst you are hot!
