Stockport Libraries - Home Library Service

Does age, disability or caring prevent you, or someone you know, from visiting the library?  If so the Home Library Service will deliver your choice of books, music and films direct to your door all free of charge.

Whatever you enjoy reading, the Home Library Service will have something to offer you.  From thrillers to the ever popular Mills and Boons or from sci-fi to chick lit.  As well as the ordinary hardback and paperback books, we also stock large print books and talking books on CD or Cassette.  Even if reading isn’t your thing, you can also borrow from our range of up-to-date CDs and DVDs. 

If you are interested in joining the Home Library Service, just phone 0161 474 5600 and have a chat with one of the team.  They will ask you what you enjoy reading so we will be able to choose the items for you according to your preferences.  However, when you do join the Home Library Service you will be unable to use any other Stockport Library and will have to give up you existing library card.  Once you have given your details we will deliver and collect your choice of books, music and films directly to your door every 2 weeks.
